Discover the enchanting world of stained glass in an inspiring introductory workshop! This workshop offers you the unique opportunity to design and make your own stained glass window frame in half a day.

What can you expect?

During this workshop you will be introduced to the basic principles of stained glass. You will learn about the different types of glass and techniques such as cutting, grinding, and soldering. We will provide a variety of designs that you can complete within a day so that you are guaranteed to go home with a finished work. You will be given the freedom to personalize these designs and choose from a wide variety of different types of glass.

Day program:

Introduction: We start with an introduction in which you get acquainted with the materials and tools. We also discuss the basic skills required for working with stained glass.
Design and Cutting: Next, you'll learn how to cut and break glass to bring your design to life.
You choose from one of the designs we have made and together we go through the glass cabinet to see which colours and textures are available.
Lead Setting and Soldering: After this you will start joining the glass pieces together with lead and soldering the connections.
Finish off: Finally, you finish your framework by working the lead and possibly patinating it for a classic look. You may also learn how to apply hanging rings so that you can hang your creation at home.
