Build Your Own Guitar in 10 Lessons: A Unique Experience in The Hague

Have you ever dreamed of building your own guitar, from a plank to a beautiful end result? With this course, that dream becomes reality. Under the guidance of a real guitar specialist, you will build your own classic Telecaster step by step. Everything is made by hand - from the neck to the body, from placing the elements to setting the frets and tuning pegs. No kit, but pure craftsmanship!

Building a guitar is of course not easy, but that is exactly why this course exists. You will have an experienced teacher at your side who will help you every step of the way. Whether you have questions about shaping the neck, attaching the body, sawing, sanding or the electronics; you are not alone.

Over 10 evenings, you'll work on your own guitar. We'll ensure you get enough time for each step, with plenty of time for questions and personalized guidance. Lessons are in small groups, allowing everyone to work on the different parts of the guitar. We'll alternate between shaping the body, building the neck, and preparing the fretboard. This way, everyone can work on their own instrument at their own pace.

Course Objectives and Extras

This course is all about having fun and learning something new. It doesn't matter if your guitar isn't perfect; it's about the process and the experience. After the course, you'll have enough knowledge to continue on your own guitar projects at home.

For those who want to perfect their guitar even further, apply colors or make other personal adjustments, optional meetings are organized. These extra sessions are outside the official course, but do offer the opportunity to completely personalize your guitar.

Everything is included – from wood to hardware and electronics.

I don't speak Dutch, can I still take the course?

Answer:
Yes, our courses are accessible for non-Dutch speaking participants. Most instructors also speak English and can adjust the explanation where necessary. If you have specific language questions, please contact us in advance so we can see what is possible!

I can't make the available dates, what now?

Answer:
If you are not available on the scheduled dates, you can register for the waiting list on the page of the relevant course. As soon as new dates are online, you will automatically receive an email so you can register immediately!

I missed a course day, what now?

Answer:

If you miss a class, we will work together to find a suitable solution.

For some courses, it's possible to make up for a missed lesson independently at our workshop. You can then book a workspace yourself through our regular system. Please note that there are costs involved and that there is no personal guidance as during the course itself.

Is the course less suitable for catching up independently? We'll place you on the waiting list for the next course series. If a series isn't full, we'll fill it with participants from the waiting list.
