Build Your Own Electric Guitar: A Unique Experience in The Hague

Have you ever dreamed of building your own guitar, entirely from scratch to a beautiful finished product? With this course, that dream becomes a reality. Under the guidance of an experienced guitar specialist, you will build your own electric guitar step by step. Everything is made by hand – from the neck to the body, from installing the pickups to setting the frets and mounting the tuning keys. No kit, but pure craftsmanship.

Building an electric guitar is a challenging process, which is precisely why we provide intensive guidance. You have an experienced teacher by your side who helps you every step of the way. Whether you have questions about shaping the neck, aligning the body, sawing, sanding, or connecting the electronics – you are not alone.

Over 12 evenings or 6 afternoons, you will work on your own guitar. We take our time with every step so that you don't have to rush and truly understand what you are doing. We work in small groups, allowing for plenty of personal guidance. During the course, you will alternate between different parts of the process: shaping the body, building the neck, and preparing and installing the fretboard. This way, everyone works on their own instrument at their own pace.

Course objectives and extras
This course revolves around the joy of making and learning a new craft. It doesn't have to be perfect – it's about the process and the experience. Afterwards, you will not only have built your own guitar, but also gained the knowledge and confidence to continue independently with new projects.

Do you want to take extra steps after the course, such as applying a specific finish, color, or other personal adjustments? Then you can participate in optional follow-up sessions. These are outside the course but give you the opportunity to further personalize your guitar.

All materials are included – from wood to hardware and electronics.
