General Terms and Conditions \u2013 Use of The Hague Workshop<\/span><\/span><\/h2><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

1. Core values and responsibility<\/span><\/h2>

The Hague Workshop is a shared space. All users are jointly responsible for a pleasant atmosphere, safety, and smooth work progress.<\/p>

2. Applicability<\/h3>

These terms and conditions apply to any use of the public workshop (\u201cHaagse Werkplaats\u201d).
By using the workshop, the user declares that he or she has read, understood and agrees to these conditions.<\/p>

3. Access and reservations<\/h3>

  1. Access is possible on the basis of membership, credit, reservation or an access card system.<\/p><\/li>

  2. Users must always follow the Hague Workshop's procedures for entering and reserving workstations, machines, and spaces.<\/p><\/li>

  3. The Hague Workshop may refuse or restrict access in the event of violation of rules or when this is necessary for safety reasons.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

    4. Safety and usage rules<\/h3>

    1. Instruction obligation:<\/strong> Before using machines or tools, the user must first request permission and demonstrably be familiar with their operation and safety instructions.<\/p><\/li>

    2. If the user is not sufficiently familiar with a machine, instruction or a course must be followed beforehand.<\/p><\/li>

    3. Before each use, the operation and safety of the machine must be checked.<\/p><\/li>

    4. It is mandatory to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection and work gloves, where applicable.<\/p><\/li>

    5. It is prohibited to enter or use the workplace under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances that could affect safety.<\/p><\/li>

    6. Users must always follow the instructions of The Hague Workshop staff. Refusal or repeated violations may result in denial of access.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

      5. Responsibility and liability<\/h3>

      1. Use of the workshop and machines is entirely at your own risk.<\/p><\/li>

      2. The user is liable for damage caused by incorrect use of machines, tools or materials.<\/p><\/li>

      3. The Hague Workshop is not liable for personal injury or damage to property of the user, unless there is intent or gross negligence on the part of The Hague Workshop.<\/p><\/li>

      4. If, despite the above, The Hague Workshop is held liable, this liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for use of the workshop in the month of the incident.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

        6. Hygiene and cleanliness<\/h3>

        1. The user is obliged to leave the workplace clean and tidy.<\/p><\/li>

        2. Used tools and materials must be returned to their proper place.<\/p><\/li>

        3. Waste and hazardous substances must be disposed of in the manner designated by the Hague Workshop.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

          7. Storage of workpieces and materials<\/h3>

          1. Storage is only permitted in designated places and for the agreed period.<\/p><\/li>

          2. Workpieces or materials not collected on time may be removed or disposed of by The Hague Workshop. Storage is always at the user's own risk.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

            8. Termination of Use<\/h3>

            The Hague Workshop may deny, suspend, or terminate a user's access in the following cases:<\/p>

            • Violation of these terms<\/p><\/li>

            • Unsafe or disruptive behavior<\/p><\/li>

            • Failure to comply with payment or reservation obligations<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

              9. Applicable law and communication<\/h3>

              1. Electronic communications (including e-mail) are considered legally valid evidence.<\/p><\/li>

              2. The use of the workshop is exclusively governed by Dutch law.<\/p><\/li>

              3. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in The Hague, unless the law prescribes otherwise.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

                Conditions for Participation in Courses<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

                \n\t\t\t\t
                \n\t\t\t\t
                \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

                Article 1. Definitions<\/h3>

                In these terms and conditions the following terms shall have the following meanings:<\/p>

                1. The Hague Workshop<\/strong>: Workshop for people, wood and crafts, located in The Hague.<\/p><\/li>

                2. Participant<\/strong>: the natural person who takes a course or for whom a course is booked.<\/p><\/li>

                3. Booker<\/strong>: the person who concludes and\/or pays for the course agreement, whether or not for multiple participants.<\/p><\/li>

                4. Class<\/strong>: a course, workshop or training programme aimed at increasing knowledge and\/or skills in woodworking and crafts.<\/p><\/li>

                5. Terms and Conditions<\/strong>: these general terms and conditions.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                  Article 2. Applicability<\/h3>

                  1. These terms and conditions apply to all agreements between the Hague Workshop and the participant, including amendments, additions and preparatory (legal) acts.<\/p><\/li>

                  2. By registering for a course and paying the course fee, the booker declares that he or she has read and agrees to these terms and conditions.<\/p><\/li>

                  3. If the booker registers multiple participants (for example, in a group booking or gift course), the booker declares that they are authorized to register on behalf of these participants and to inform them of these terms and conditions. The booker is jointly and severally liable for fulfilling the obligations of all registered participants.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                    Article 3. Registration and confirmation<\/h3>

                    1. Registration takes place by purchasing the course through the website of the Hague Workshop or through a registration process offered by the Hague Workshop.<\/p><\/li>

                    2. The Hague Workshop will confirm your registration by email. The agreement is concluded upon receipt of the confirmation.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                      Article 4. Course prices and payment<\/h3>

                      1. The applicable prices are those stated on the website at the time of registration, unless there is an obvious error.<\/p><\/li>

                      2. Unless otherwise stated, materials are included in the course price.<\/p><\/li>

                      3. All prices include VAT.<\/p><\/li>

                      4. Payment must be made immediately upon registration via the payment methods offered.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                        Article 5. Cancellation by the participant<\/h3>

                        1. Cancellations can be made in writing or by email. De Haagse Werkplaats will always confirm the cancellation by email.<\/p><\/li>

                        2. In case of cancellation, the following terms and costs apply:<\/p>

                          • \u2265 31 days before commencement<\/strong>: free cancellation<\/p><\/li>

                          • 15 to 30 days before commencement<\/strong>: 25% of the course fee due<\/p><\/li>

                          • 8 to 14 days before commencement<\/strong>: 50% of the course fee due<\/p><\/li>

                          • \u2264 7 days before commencement<\/strong>: 100% of the course fee due<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>

                          • Cancellation after the start of the course is not possible.<\/p><\/li>

                          • Substitution is possible provided that prior notification and approval are received from The Hague Workshop. An administrative fee of \u20ac35 (including VAT) applies.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                            Article 6. Cancellation by the Hague Workshop<\/h3>

                            1. The Hague Workshop can cancel the course up to two (2) days before the start.<\/p><\/li>

                            2. Participants will be notified immediately and will receive a full refund. An alternative will be offered if possible.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                              Article 7. Safety and house rules<\/h3>

                              1. Participants are required to strictly follow the safety instructions and directions of employees.<\/p><\/li>

                              2. The Hague Workshop may exclude participants who behave dangerously or disruptively from further participation, without the right to a refund.<\/p><\/li>

                              3. Participants are advised to wear appropriate clothing and be aware of the risks of working with machines and tools.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                                Article 8. Liability<\/h3>

                                1. Participation in courses is at your own risk.<\/p><\/li>

                                2. The Hague Workshop is not liable for any damage or injury during or after the course, unless there is intent or gross negligence.<\/p><\/li>

                                3. The Hague Workshop is not liable for the quality of work produced by participants.<\/p><\/li>

                                4. Storage of workpieces is at your own risk. The Hague Workshop may remove or dispose of workpieces if they are not collected within 30 days of the last day of the course.<\/p><\/li>

                                5. If liability does arise, it will be limited to a maximum of the invoice amount of the relevant course.<\/p><\/li>

                                6. Indirect damage will not be reimbursed.<\/p><\/li>

                                7. The participant is advised to take out his or her own accident insurance.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                                  Article 9. Force Majeure<\/h3>

                                  1. If the Hague Workshop is unable to provide the course due to force majeure (such as teacher illness, power outage, fire, or other unforeseen circumstances), an alternative will be offered in consultation.<\/p><\/li>

                                  2. If the participant refuses this alternative, the (proportionate) course fee will be refunded.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                                    Article 10. Intellectual property<\/h3>

                                    1. The course materials provided become the property of the participant.<\/p><\/li>

                                    2. All intellectual property rights to course materials remain with The Hague Workshop. The material may not be copied, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.<\/p><\/li><\/ol>

                                      Article 11. Replacement course supervisor<\/h3>

                                      The Hague Workshop may replace the teacher or course supervisor with another qualified supervisor at any time.<\/p>

                                      Article 12. Electronic communications<\/h3>

                                      Electronic communications (including e-mail) and digital confirmations are deemed legally valid and can serve as evidence of agreements and statements.<\/p>

                                      Article 13. Applicable law<\/h3>

                                      1. All agreements are exclusively governed by Dutch law.<\/p><\/li>
